Telenova Network: NBC Studio: Universal Television Production Company: UnbeliEVAble Entertainment Executive Producers: Eva Longoria, Ben Spector, Christine Pietrosh, Jessica Goldstein Writer: Christine Pietrosh, Jessica Goldstein Logline: An ambitious telenovela star struggles to stay on top in a world where the drama on-camera is nothing compared to the drama off-camera. Details: The project will get a 13-episode order if Longoria commits to star or a pilot order if she doesn’t. SSN Insight: An Untitled Emily Halpern / Sarah Haskins Project is also being developed at ABC with eyes on Longoria to star and Executive Produce. If she commits, there will be a 13-episode penalty attached to the project. This project centers on a successful home renovator who can’t stop problem solving when she leaves the job site – especially when it comes to her boyfriend, her family, a random delivery guy, and basically everyone she comes into contact with.

Funhouse Network: ABC Studio: ABC Studios Production Company: Mandeville Films/TV Executive Producers: Fred Goss, Laurie Zaks, David Hoberman, Todd Liberman Writer: Fred Goss Logline: Jack Babbit kidnaps his estranged father from a nursing home, along with his 24-hour male nurse, and brings them to his home. Dish Network: ABC Studio: ABC Studios Production Company: Dark Toy Entertainment Executive Producers: Cindy Chupack, Karey Burke, Todd Holland Writer: Cindy Chupack Logline: Three female friends in Venice, CA – one single, one married, and one a single mother – meet once a week at a restaurant called Dish to dish about life, love, career, and the myth of "having it all." They do "have it all" among the three of them, just not individually. Details: Inspired by Cindy Chupack’s real-life experiences. SSN Insight: Dark Toy Entertainment is also developing Nuclear Family for ABC and Random Acts for AMC.

Although September is the month where countless fall shows premiere and duke it out for series orders, there are still plenty of roles that are just waiting for that certain actor to bring the character to life. AGENT CARTER

Edward Hutchins (Male 30-49): Smart, completely capable, and often inadvertently amusing. Beneath the English manners, he is also brave when called to action. He carefully balances his personal and professional life, not wanting to upset or worry his wife over his dangerous job.

Angie Martinelli (Female 20-35): A girl from Queens whose dreams of being on Broadway keep her in high spirits while she spends her time in a thankless waitress job. She’s sassy and a little rough around the edges, but extremely sociable. Charming with the guys but a best friend to women. Singing a plus.

TAXI – 22

Companies: CBS (Network) CBS TV Studios (Studio) Dates: TBD Casting Director: Susan Edelman , Amy Herzig , Katharina Eggmann Logline: Willy is a cab driver in New York City, and he's a gruff, selfish middle-aged guy whose chatter can get on his customers' nerves. He’s alienated most of the people in his life, one way or another, but keeps on trying to find the path -- because finding the path is in his job description.

Willy (Male 40-59): Willy is a New York City cab driver- he's charismatic but quarrelsome and clueless that he’s offending his customers. His wife Vanessa has divorced him and he has a contentious relationship with his gay son. In spite of his money troubles and pelvic pain, he tries to do the right thing.

Sean (Male 20-29): The son of Willy and Vanessa, Sean is mid 20s, an intelligent but somewhat sharp tongued gay man. He's in love with Andrew, a bartender, and his life revolves around choreographing the ultimate marriage proposal. He and Willy have never gotten along because they have little in common.

Rosa (Female, 35-45): A wholehearted, grounded waitress with great humanity and a good sense of humor, Rosa works at a diner where Willy is a regular. Rosa moonlights as a blues singer, and she'd be open to dating Willy, but he’s too blind to see it. Open to any ethnicity, please indicate if the actress can sing.

Nishi (Male 45-59): Willy's boss at the Yellow Cab Garage, a Pakistani-American man, Nishi owns a medallion for a cab, and he's selling it at a steep price so he can pay for his son's college at Columbia University.

Valentine (Male 35-45): A Nigerian, soccer-loving cab driver who’s got a love-hate relationship with his co-worker Willy who often irritates him. He hopes that he can get the money to buy the medallion from Nishi.

ZOO

Companies: CBS (Network) CBS TV Studios (Studio) Treeline Film (Production Co.) Dates: January 2015 Casting Director: TBD Logline: Set amidst a wave of violent animal attacks sweeping across the planet, a young renegade scientist is thrust into a race to unlock the mystery behind this pandemic before time runs out for animals and humans alike.

Jackson Oz (Male 30-39): The show's hero, he’s a scientist who's rugged, smart and manly.  The title ‘hero’ would come as quite a surprise to him, given his emotional weariness with life. We first meet him while he has a major hangover.

Jamie Paulson (Female 24): Pouty and edgy, she is a cub reporter on the metro desk. She gets the news first that something odd happening with the animals and is determined to get the scoop.

Chloe Tousignant (Female 30): Beautiful despite her wasted, tired appearance. She is French with a thick accent and speaks little English. She is in Africa after recently breaking up with her fiancé when her tour bus is attacked by lions.

Mitch Larkin (Male, 30): Hyper-intelligent with an endearing gawkiness. He is a student who works for the Zoo studying animals on his off hours.

RUNNER FKA THE END

Companies: FOX (Network) Twentieth TV (Studio) Dates: Late October 2014 Casting Director: TBD Logline: Centers on a woman who believes she is leading a perfect life — she has a loving family, a rewarding career and close friends. However, overnight her life is ripped apart by one simple twist of fate – she soon realizes she must follow a trail of lies to reveal the truth.

Emily (Female 30-39): Lauren's sister-in-law is strong, caring and sympathetic. A special needs educator who is frantic to have a child of her own.

Lauren Marks (Female 30-35): Gorgeous, smart and ambitious. A mother and career woman. She finds out that her husband, Adam, is not who she thinks he is when he disappears.

Simon Marks (Male 30-39): Lauren's brother in-law is married to Emily and a San Francisco police detective. Rugged, strong and truthful. He does whatever he can to help Lauren find her husband.

Troy (Male 30-39): Adam's childhood friend, but Lauren’s family no longer speak to him because Simon's son accidentally shot himself with his gun. He may be Lauren's only hope to finding her husband. Looking for Latin talent.

Agent Danzinger (Male 30-45): An experienced government agent who you do not want to mess with. He is involved with taking down the Mexican weapons cartel. He has clues about Adam's disappearance.

Josh Marks (Male 30-39): Adam's younger brother and married to Rebecca is an architect. Good-looking, artistic and brooding.

Rebecca Marks (Female 30-39): Lauren and Adam's sister-in-law married to Josh. Pretty, punky and dark.

Adam Marks (Male 30-39): Lauren's husband and a doctor of Pediatric Oncology. We first meet him as an intelligent and caring husband. He disappears after not boarding a plane that crashed. He is then seen with another woman and then disappears.

THREE SECOND RULE AKA THE LAST MAN ON EARTH

Companies: FOX (Network) Twentieth TV (Studio) Lord Miller (Production Co.) Dates: September through December 2014 Casting Director: TBD Logline: A single-camera comedy about the last man (Will Forte) on earth, who used to be just an average family guy. Now Phil searches the country for other survivors but has found no one. But, he’s not about to give up now because he has hope that there is another survivor.

Todd (Male, 30-39): He's a force of positive energy. Todd's trusting warm nature makes him instantly likeable. He was made fun of about his weight growing up, but he managed to turn make millions in the tech industry and eventually started a charity for underprivileged kids.

Melissa (Female 25-35): She's a stunning, smart, no-nonsense Midwestern girl-next-door with a good sense of humor and a local sports fan. Melissa developed her strong independent nature growing up with three older brothers.

A.D.

Companies: NBC (Network) Universal TV (Studio) Lightworkers Media (Production Co.) Dates: September-October 2014 Casting Director: Jeremy Zimmerman Logline: A 12-part mini-series of faith and heroic struggle, AD begins in the dark days after Jesus’ betrayal and death and in the face of terrible odds and brutal persecution, the small band of Jesus’ disciples stand against the combined might of Rome and their own local authorities.

Peter (Male 25-40): The leader of the Christians and hero of the series. He recovers from deep guilt to take charge. He’s not naturally charismatic but he’s a quick learner.

Pilate (Male 40-60): Roman Governor of Judea who orders the crucifixion of Jesus, but feels increasingly pressured by others to deal with the affair. He’s become a smart, ambitious politician.

Caiaphas (Male 40-60): High Priest of the Holy Temple. He is a shrewd, calculated politician who sees the followers of Jesus as inherently dangerous. His failure to close out the Jesus affair puts him under pressure.

Mary Magdalene (Female 28-38): The pillar of the Christian group and she works tirelessly to keep the movement going amidst enormous challenges. Feisty, ingenious and brave, she takes the initiative when the men must hide out.

Leah (Female 30-45): Wife of Caiaphas and arguably the more intelligent of the pair. This proud noblewoman holds much sway in the High Priest family and calls the shots in her marriage.

John (Male, 25-30): Brother of James and the only apostle to be there for the crucifixion. He is a serene soul who acts as a good balance to Peter's alpha male. Looking for African-American, Black-African, Black-Caribbean.

MISSION CONTROL

Dates: January 2015 Casting Director: Susie Farris , Julie Tucker , Ross Meyerson Logline: Dr. Mary Kendricks is a tough but brilliant aerospace engineer, leading a team of NASA scientists. Navigating this ridiculous boys' club is no easy task in the 1960s, especially when her boss brings on a former hotshot test pilot to co-manage her team.

Conner (Male 30-39): Type A, straight-laced astronaut much like John Glenn who’s dating Mary. A future politician, he is the kind of guy who Mary’s proud to introduce to her parents. He excels at his job, but is definitely prone to ego.

American Crime Story Network: FX Studio: Fox 21 Production Companies: FX Productions, Ryan Murphy Productions, Color Force Executive Producers: Ryan Murphy, Dante Di Loreto, Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski, Brad Falchuk, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson Writers: Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski Director: Ryan Murphy Logline: The O.J. Simpson trial is told from the perspective of the lawyers. It explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the case, and how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s black community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt. Details: Project has been ordered straight to series with a 10 episode commitment. SSN Insight: Murphy’s other anthology series, American Horror Story, will begin airing its fourth season tomorrow night.

Untitled Howard Gordon / James Wong Project Network: CBS Studio: 20^th Century Fox Production Company: Teakwood Lane Productions Executive Producer: Howard Gordon Writer: James Wong Logline: Centers on an angel who, after losing his wings, saves the life of a female police detective and together they try to uncover the mystery of why the angel is stranded as a mortal on earth. SSN Insight: Teakwood Lane just inked a new overall deal with 20^th Century Fox. Gordon’s company is behind projects such as Homeland, Tyrant, Legends and the recent event series 24: Live Another Day.

First Lady Network: CW Studio: Warner Bros. Television Production Companies: Intrigue, Vandalia Films Executive Producers: Jenni Ross, Tariq Jalil, Jennifer Garner, Juliana Janes Writer: Jenni Ross Logline: Chronicles one woman’s rags-to-riches journey from illegal immigrant to the White House, where she battles injustice and her own sordid past which has come back to haunt her. Details: Based on Primera Dama, created by Sebastián Arrau and distributed by Latin Media, which aired on Canal 13-Chile in 2010 and has been sold or remade in multiple countries. SSN Insight: Garner’s, Vandalia Films, is also developing Fox’s Half Full, which is being written by Matthew Nicklaw, while Ross’ Intrigue is developing Game Of Silence, being written by David Hudgins.

Wendy And Peter Network: NBC Studio: Warner Bros.
